梅里登 is a community that cares about its future and has established a vision to realize its potential. Over 150 civic organizations and non-profit agencies help to make 梅里登 a great place to get involved in the community. These are some of the organizations which contribute to your city becoming a healthier, 更快乐、更安全的地方!

  • 社区协会 provide a forum for residents to participate in decisions which will shape the future of their neighborhoods and their quality of life.  They sponsor events in the community and come together to help make 梅里登 a great place to live and raise a family.
  • 健康美瑞,2000 is a consortium of local businesses, health and human service agencies, 政府, 以及普通公民.  Their mission is to establish a partnership with the community to build a healthier 梅里登, improve the quality of life of all residents of 梅里登, and work toward achieving wellness for all 梅里登 residents.
  • The Flood Control Implementation Agency has worked diligently to secure a future free from the threat of severe damage - and loss of life - from flooding along Harbor Brook.  Final design of the flood control project is expected early in 1999 with construction currently expected to commence sometime in late 2000.
  • 社区的愿景 is a non-profit organization that, along with over 200 volunteers from the community, brings people together in common purpose and acts as a catalyst for creating positive change to achieve what is best for the people who live and work in 梅里登. 
  • 梅里登儿童优先 is a community-centered not-for-profit organization that redirects human and financial resources to bettering the social, educational and health outcomes of 梅里登 children age birth to eight.
  • The Midstate 商会, 总部设在梅里登, CT, 是独立的, private non-profit membership organization which promotes and serves its member businesses in Berlin, 柴郡, 梅里登, Southington, Wallingford and throughout central 康涅狄格.  Volunteers from over 550 member businesses work to improve the economic and civic vitality of the greater 梅里登 area.
  • The School Readiness Program is providing our three and four year old children with the experience needed to assure that they enter kindergarten ready to learn.  It is also raising the quality of childcare throughout the City by offering free courses for child care providers to attain national designation as Child 发展 Associates.
  • The Augusta Curtis Cultural Center is housed in the former Curtis Memorial 赌博平台, a historic building which has recently undergone a $2 million renovation by the 梅里登市.  The Center features a variety of community programs and is also available for private rentals. 
  • 梅里登土地信托 is an all-volunteer non-profit organization devoted to protecting the natural environment of 梅里登.

  • The 梅里登 Economic 发展 Corporation (MEDCO) is a non-profit organization that works independently and in local partnerships to stimulate economic development in the City.
  • The 梅里登市 sponsors fifteen community-wide Athletic Leagues for children and adults including soccer, 垒球, 棒球, 足球, 篮球和游泳.
